We are currently looking for enthusiastic and skilled individuals for the following positions:

Full time Multi Skilled Carpenter required.

The role involves maintenance work on long term contracts at various sites throughout South Wales, predominantly at commercial and educational properties including office accommodation and education establishments for local authorities and Welsh government.

You must be a self- starter, possess good communication skills and be competent in producing detailed and accurate reports of works done and materials used etc.

If you are an experienced, qualified carpenter who can perform tasks including first and second fix, plaster board, tape and jointing, door hanging and skirting boarding, along with other ad-hoc tasks as may become necessary then you will be of interest to us.

A full, clean driving licence is essential, Asbestos Cat A or B and IPAF certificates desirable but not essential.

Must be prepared to undergo a DBS check.

Current CSCS card along with other health and safety qualifications would be preferred but not essential.

Hours: 08:00 to 16:30 Monday to Friday

We are fully operational 24/7, 365 days per year and you will be expected to participate in our emergency call-out rota in support of our client base, which is rewarded by salary enhancement..

Job Title – Fire and Security Engineers

Location: South Wales

Work: Installation and Maintenance

Main Duties:

  • Installation, servicing and maintaining various Fire, Intruder, CCTV and Access control system. Including Gate automation systems and carpark barriers.

Essential requirements for the job:

  • Experienced with a minimum of 5 years in the industry
  • A good knowledge and understanding of relevant, current standards
  • Full driving licence
  • Live local to geographical area
  • To work solo or as part of a team. Including 24hr call out on a rota basis.

General:

  • To adhere to existing working practices, methods and procedures. Undertake relevant training and development activities and respond positively to new and alternative systems
  • To provide a customer focused service at all times
  • To communicate effectively and work productively with all other staff
  • To undertake other related tasks which might be reasonably requested by the Contract Manager(s)
  • Observe and comply with the company’s group policies and procedures for Health and Safety.

Job title – Building Labourer

Department:    Property Services

Reporting to:    Contracts Manager(s)

Work Location:    Pontypridd, South Wales

Job Purpose:    To carry out and assist craft operatives with ground works, general building and external wet trades along with associated minor repairs to a high standard to many of our clients properties. All works to be completed in a safe and cost effective manner in accordance with good practice and relevant specifications.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• To undertake the mixing of concrete/ mortar by hand or by machine
• Fetch, carry and load materials in support of craft operatives
• Tidy up the work during and after the job
• Unload, store and stack materials that are delivered to site
• Undertake the handling, placing and finishing of concrete work
• Undertake excavating by hand of the drain and service trenches
• Assist in the handling, laying and cleaning of the drainage and service pipework
• Assist in the handling and laying of kerbs, paving and filling materials
• To undertake the erecting, dismantling and moving of tubular tower scaffolding
• To use hand power tools for drilling, demilitions, cutting and chasing in association with builders work
• To drive/ control material handling, compaction and breaking equipment.
• Assist with roofing repairs both flat and traditional

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• A good understanding of the principles of good customer care.
• To communicate effectively and work productively with all other staff

DESIRABLE SKILLS 

• Demonstrable experience of general building to include excavation, drainage, concreting and minor repairs
• NVQ or equivalent level health and safety/ training qualification related to the construcution industry e.g Asbestos awareness
• Experience of working within the repairs and maintenance sector of the construction industry.
• A full valid driving licence and the ability to drive a company van and comply with the requirements of the company insurers.
• Ability to work at height, in confimed spaces and work outside in all weather conditions
